Noreen Briddigkeit  Quinn is a Counselling Psychologist, also a Pastoral Counsellor. These two, together with vast experience and life - long learning as a Cancer Carer/nurse, allow a "whole - person" approach to Counselling (some might call it holistic)

She worked with Cancer Patients from 1980 until Sept 2008 and In order to obtain all the necessary (formal) tools for a whole- person approach to Cancer Care she studied pastoral counselling and counselling psychology and found that , through a better understanding of hidden dynamics, her work both with patients and staff became greatly enhanced.

The subject of her Thesis for pastoral counselling was "Counselling for professional and other carers = VISEMED CHESED" and for Counselling Psychology the Thesis dealt with "Anticipatory anxiety in cancer patients"- Indentification and management of.......

.

Her personal life is rooted in Jesus - and in the faith that God is greater than all human effort.

She worked voluntarily in a non-profit cafe for Migrants and Asylum-Seekers in Hamburg where people from different professions offered their expertise free of charge. Knowing what it is like to be a migrant herself, she now addresses Migrants here in Cavan to offer support and promote integration.

She worked with children and young adults in the community and, having had an eventful life herself, nothing can surprise or shock her.

Her approach is individual and she employs elements from different schools of Pschology and spirituality - as the individual situation requires. She avails of regular supervision through a member of the IACP and is an affiliate member of same. She speaks fluent German !

She is fully insured for Counselling of both Adults and young people below the age of 18 (Parental consent required for minors)
